If you are driving, please re-consider, since FemHealth is ten short blocks north of the World Trade Center (WTC) site. Since September 11, 2001, there have been a lot of traffic changes in this area of lower Manhattan.

Also, virtually all of the streets are one-way and curbside parking is not permitted between 7AM and 7PM on weekdays. Curbside parking is never permitted in front of our entrance however, due to the fire hydrant and M20 bus stop just to the east of us.

A small parking lot is located just east of us at 74 Hudson and Worth Streets, however. It is open from 7AM to 7PM on weekdays and costs $10.15+tax (which is 18.25%!) for 30 minutes, $15.22+tax for 1 hour, $18.61+tax for 2 hours and $21.99+tax for 3 hours. It provides Saturday “all-day” parking for only $8.46+tax, however. Although there are other parking garages in the area, it is not possible to give you details on each one.

For those of you who drive past our entrance, beware of the asphalt depression just before the man-hole across from the fire hydrant. If you do not slow down to a crawl, it might put a hole in your oil pan and/or activate your air-bags!

If you still want to drive despite all of this, allot plenty of time so you do not miss your appointment. Also, try not to take it out on us if it turns out to be a frustrating experience.


From the north, take Broadway south past Canal Street. Continue on another 6 blocks or so to Worth Street. Turn right and take this this west all the way to its end at Hudson Street. Park anywhere since 5 Harrison Street is just north and west of this intersection.

If you want to drive directly to the entrance however, turn right and go north pass Harrison Street. Continue on 2 more blocks to N. Moore/North Moore Street and turn left. Go 1 block west to Greenwich Street and turn left again.

Go 2 blocks south back to Harrison Street and turn left one last time. Head east 2 blocks towards Hudson Street and park anywhere since we are located just east of the Staple Street alley on the south side of the street.

From the north, take Seventh Avenue South/Varick Street south past Canal Street. Continue on another 6 blocks or so and notice that Varick Street merges into W Broadway/West Broadway at Leonard Street. Go south 1 block more to Worth Street and turn right. Take this this west all the way to its end at Hudson Street. Park anywhere since 5 Harrison Street is just north and west of this intersection.

If you want to drive directly to the entrance however, turn right and go north pass Harrison Street. Continue on 2 more blocks to N Moore/North Moore Street and turn left. Go 1 block west to Greenwich Street and turn left again.

Go 2 blocks south back to Harrison Street and turn left one last time. Head east 2 blocks towards Hudson Street and park anywhere since we are located just east of the Staple Street alley on the south side of the street.

From the north, take 9A/West Side Highway/West Street south past Canal Street to the next light, which is Vestry Street. Turn left and head 2 blocks east to Greenwich Street. Turn right and head south 7 blocks to Harrison Street.

Turn left and head east 2 blocks towards Hudson Street. Park anywhere since we are located just east of the Staple Street alley on the south side of the street.

From the south, take Church Street north past Chambers Street. Continue on another 4 blocks to Worth Street. Turn left and go west 2 blocks all the way to its end at Hudson Street. Park anywhere since 5 Harrison Street is just north and west of this intersection. We are right next door to Puffy’s Tavern on the corner where Harrison Street begins.

If you want to drive directly to the entrance however, turn right and go north pass Harrison Street. Continue on 2 more blocks to N Moore/North Moore Street and turn left. Go 1 block west to Greenwich Street and turn left again. Go 2 blocks south back to Harrison Street and turn left one last time. Head east 2 blocks towards Hudson Street and park anywhere since we are located just east of the Staple Street alley on the south side of the street.

From the south, take 9A/West Side Highway/West Street north past Chambers Street to the next light, which is Harrison Street. Turn right and head east 2 blocks towards Hudson Street. Park anywhere since we are located just east of the Staple Street alley on the south side of the street.

From the NJ-to-NY side of the Holland Tunnel, stay in the left lane as it curves right and follow the “Exit 2 Uptown” sign. Continue past it, cross Hudson Street and enter Beach Street. Go west 2 blocks to its end at Greenwich Street (not Avenue).

Turn left and go south 3 blocks to Harrison Street. Turn left again and head east 2 blocks towards Hudson Street. Park anywhere since we are located just east of the Staple Street alley on the south side of the street.
